Term Four 2010
SOSIMO
What's SOSIMO, well it's components we are considering when building our webpage.
It stands for SOUND SIGHT & MOVEMENT.
In the society we live in, movement can be an important element on your site.
A few of the boys are using Pivot Stick Animation, like the one here, to bring movement to their soccer website.
The end of the year is fast approaching CLICK HERE if you need to know more about our HOLIDAY PROGRAMME dates, times and cost etc. It's going to be FUN!
Here's a lovely youtube clip to share with your family:

Term Four 2010
We are starting to get to the fun stage of developing our websites.
This week we focused on what our header will look like. For examples, I'll showcase two five year old's sites in development.
The other 5 year old boy who is developing the website (above) also utilised wordart for the title. He drew the soccer ball & we inserted it in with his header. His text and background colour was created in powerpoint, & he chose a background colour for his website to flow in with his heading. His mum is going to bring in a photo of him in his soccer uniform, so it will be him on the sidebar of his site, not the guy in red. But for privacy reasons we are showcasing it as it is now.

The boy above used Wordart to design his heading, and in Kidspix designed the background for his text using fillbucket. He then picked the starry background blogger template to flow in with his Star Wars theme. His site is well underway.

We looked at the different links we'd saved last week.
We analysed why we liked the sites we chose and broke
down the analysis of the layout, colour, images etc.
From this we determined what we wanted to bring into
our websites.
We have quite an array of websites coming........
A little taster - one boy is videoing his own skateboard
moves to add to his skater site, one girl is wanting
animation in her header- very challenging, but we'll
give it a go.
Next week we'll start on our backgrounds and headers and
finish off analysis for those who haven't completed this yet.
Ka Kite.

Term Four 2010
OUR FOCUS THIS TERM IS BLOGGING!
But we're not going to look at blogging as an online diary, we're going to create websites out of blogging templates.
Yep, we're designing our own websites.
Week 1
Settling back in, thinking about what we'd like to create a website about.
Week 2
We're surfing the web and choosing 5-10 sites we like the look of and saving those links on a word document. These will be our inspiration as we design our own site. We're looking at colour, layout etcTools learnt:
Browsing the web
Copying url
Opening up word
Pasting
